The Siri Remote (2nd generation), released in 2021, is a complete redesign of the original Apple TV remote, featuring a silver aluminum body and a touch-enabled clickpad. It is widely praised by experts from PCMag and AppleInsider for fixing the usability issues of its predecessor, such as being easier to orient in the dark.

The Siri Remote (3rd generation), introduced in 2022, is the current flagship remote for Apple TV. It is nearly identical in design to the 2nd generation model but replaces the Lightning charging port with a USB-C port.
